Live Drawing at a gig tonight

This afternoon I am travelling to Camden Town in London to live draw at The Green Note for a folk singer called “Wounded Bear”. I will take my small Epson Visualiser and projector and project onto a wall to the right of the small stage. I will draw an illustration to each song as it is sung and then give the drawings to the artist, Josh. He is a friend of Ellie and Sam, two other talented singer songwriters who I have also worked with. I’ve drawn for Ellie at the beautiful St. Pancras Old Church and for Sam at The Lafayette in Kings Cross. Always an exhilarating experience, drawing to music with no safety net and the minimum of planning, I never quite know how the drawings are going to turn out but let the music and lyrics guide me. Here are a few ink sketches I drew to Wounded Bear’s new EP ahead of tonight’s performance.
